Views on Love

We are scared to fall in love because of the pain it brings but at the end of the day, we all want our stories to be written. We all want love. We are all in love with the idea of love.

Its a funny thing that we come across
Heartbreak is all we keep looking for
They say that you are lucky to cross
Paths that leads you to an open door
The dark shadows of stories of Romeo
Haunt us on our way to finding more
Hope to be starring but stuck in cameo
So tell me now how can i be sure
That i won't find myself in despair
I won't end up with an empty hole
What if i have to sit back and repair
A broken heart and a dented soul
There is no story with a tale that tells
What to do if you break your heart
When you don't hear the ring of wedding bells
And are left shattered and torn apart
To save myself i choose not to fall
Adore beauty of love from far afar
But I know that i would fall after all
So i keep wishing upon every star
That even after I have repaired
Every inch of my broken heart
I would find someone prepared
To give me my story with a new start.

I love the description of our feelings toward love
I feel your desire for love, and your fear of love
I feel your broken heart, and your wistful yearnings
For love, and love again.

You do a great job of illustrating love using simple language to describe what you feel, the poem reads gently, starting with the soft suspense of looking for heartbreak building up gradually to being "left shattered and torn apart", quickly resolving in adoring "beauty of love from far afar", and ending with a happy conclusion and new beginning.
