Silent Wraith

Silent Wraith

A Poem by Neelam
"

Elderly people whom have lost their home and beloved

"
I exist , not knowing why....
My body is a burden , my lungs are empty...
My life force has been spent....
My speech slurred , my steps faltered...
I am an unfortunate soul waiting to discard this frame....
How vast is the horizon yet without benevolence...
Windows of heaven are closed forever....
The earth beneath concealed death from me...
Conspiring to consume and digest me in its belly...
Bones are crushed within me....
I strained to catch some moisture in the air ,
I wanted to walk away from this decay.....!
But shallow hope deluded me....
I am alone , forsaken!
God is nowhere to be seen since He left me long ago.
