Angel

Angel

A Poem by Amitesh Rout

A little hand grabbing my finger
With trust and hope
To guide her the way
Into the depths of the maze
Mornings were sweet
With a look of her face
And nights wouldn't end
Without a kiss on her head
A smudge on her
Brings tears in my eyes
And a grin on her face
Would make my lips go wide
I know I know how tough is life
With bruises and despair we live
But still merciful enough
To gift an angel in disguise.

"A smudge on her
Brings tears in my eyes
And a grin on her face
Would make my lips go wide"
