A Million Lies

A single lie can lead to a complete chaos in the community

Rolling into the ice

An era of million lies

Relations died and people cried

Flames stride as the Moon was sizzling bright

Elected to lead

An army of irreproachable breed

Overcome by greed

Ignorance to bleed as anarchy was the only creed 

Clouds whimpered in dejection 

Integrity was the only rejection

Diginity of the tribe; a spurious perception 

lies all around 

Courtesy; a bogus reflection 

Edifice began to fall 

As the pillars of prosperity tumbled

wind was quiet and the faint air of grief mumbled

Disguise became lavish crime 

as the scream for justice trembled

Silver lining itself cried 

Rays of hope completely dried

And today;

As they crawl 

they all bawl 

A single truth

could have saved us all 

could have saved as all

I really like the echo of the last line in this poem. It definitely gave it a more defined impact at the end and rounded it off nicely. Lovely wording.
