A Poem by Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
"

"Sometimes if we look away....we miss what the most important part of life"

"

I sat upon the hillside today
I watched the sun set peacefully
One by one her rays played out

Not far behind her was the moon
I pondered at her slow appearance
No rush to get where she was going

Finally she arrived at her destination
I sat amazed with her beauty
Her beams lit up the night sky

To my right I saw two stars dancing
To my left appeared one star alone
Isolated and lonely she still shined

Her bright light extended to the moon
The moon acknowledged her friendship
Together they reflected off each other’s light

No words were spoken that night
No expectations given to be met
Simple friendship achieved ...

"No words were spoken that night

Those lines got me, for sure... The whole piece is, as usual, stunning and packed with magical vivid images and paralells... I do love how you draw on these things and put the reader in this almost alternate reality of magic and fantasy, yet manage to keep reality firmly grounded in there... Very nice write, thanx for sharing and sorry for not reading it through sooner :(

this is beautifully written - both as a surface poem - the beauty of nature displayed and when taken to its deeper meaning - the beauty in a light even if it shines by itself.

Lovely. I've spent a good deal of time in my life gazing at nature's spectacular displays, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Sam

Awe. This is really good. I love your descriptions and how in the end the star is no longer lonely! Nicely done!! You make my imagination come to life with your choice of words!

Bright souls have no certain destination and the moon got lost last night
