Hour Glass

Hour Glass

A Poem by Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
"

Time slips through our hands as the sand in the hour glass.......

"

Air
Gasping for every breath
to live for just one more day

Sun
To feel the rays of heat
slap my face to begin the day

Time
Struggling to get out of bed
to begin another work week

Rush
Ticking clocks in a rush to
push that final sale of the day

Night
Darkness again approaches as
I try to recap my day’s failures

Sleep
Laying awake eyes wide shut
counting memories of pain

Such is our life in this day and age. Rush, rush, rush ever onward, but to what? Good job.

Time can be both enemy and/or friend. It doesn't sound like you're enjoying it very much in this poem. Sam

Do we really have to "tell all" for one to be a friend? I am not like most of the writers here at the cafe. I have not been writing for very long and actually started only a short time ago after my .. more..
