"Walking Through A Field ...of thoughts."

"Walking Through A Field ...of thoughts."

A Poem by Chris
"

A Thursday thought

"

"Walking Through A Field ...of thoughts."

I came by to pause again
…and taste the sun...
strange how the scents change to suit
the where and when we are
each who we are
how we …are
and so few seem to notice.

we are often told to "stop and smell the roses".. but you are right.. few of us really do except on occasion.. or perhaps in time.. is it an aquired taste.. one that must be cultivated.. and maybe we need some one.. or thing.. to nudge us into that cultivation..

Good seeing you Shall, hope all is well.
We live in a world where we have so many things going on at once and we are so stuck on auto pilot that sometimes we truly lose focus on what's going on around us. It has been proven that taking just 5 minutes of mindful relaxation a day can totally remap a persons brain. What does that say about how busy we get? Enjoying the little things in life can greatly decrease depression, anxiety and other things. We get so worked up that our mind is always in fight or flight mode, and it causes anxiety. If we can just take a moment to do simple things we love- lay in the grass, allocate some time for mindful eating, take a swim we might just be a little happier with life. Great work!

Some very thought-full words flow in your wake... Hi again.
geez, Chris...in a little compact, you could fit into your glove compartment" poem...

you present thoughts that could map out a life on a highway of introspection...

terrific stuff...it is strange how few even notice where they are...when they are because they are always heading somewhere else much too fast.

Pristine in its clarity. Jewel like.

So many people let the details wisp through there numb fingers. Writers are great observers, though. We feast on the details! Maybe this will make someone stop and wonder at the strangeness of it all. Angi~

Lovely write, it's seemed that two lovers've been lost in the the world and probing to find some place to live along the life... This write's short but it's lovely and well declared it's a poem. Keep writing.

Strange the way a smell or sound can bring back memories of days gone by.Is there anything left to experience that wont bring back memories of a first time .Perhaps it is the thought that when we run out of firsts it will be over. I often wondered why time seems to flow quicker as we age. Yet I suppose from birth to 20 we experience as a first. After that we find most things are repeats of the fiorst.Perhaps our mind only remembers the first and everything else just another notch in the belt.Hence with fewer memories of later years we perceive time as running faster
