"Pillow Talk..."

"Pillow Talk..."

A Poem by Chris

Sitting, meandering through life... looking out a subway car's window... transit bus...
freeway, highway... dirt road... driveway as you lean back and turn off the car.  Chair, couch, recliner... kitchen table waiting a micro's beep... dining room table - just you and the kids... or just you - the solitary setting, empty, silent cept for the breath you just let out...

"Pillow Talk..."

Pillow Talk is softly holding you -
  leaning from time-to-time and
  gently touching your cheeks,
  your lips -
  your eyelids...
  earlobe...

Its breathing ever so softly -
snuggling...
and talking about anything
and everything
and nothings...

Its acceptance and
its sharing and its...
so badly missed when life happens,
and evenings fall...

'Pillow Talk'
Chris,
Your poem is a message of the reality of thankfulness for what we have. Will this gift last.....? Maybe not. How does one respond either way. At least for me. I really enjoyed the contrast between two themes. What has been remembered of just the day to day with one on one closeness. Both gifts.
Bless you.

you make me feel at peace when i read you, Chris--

i'm looking down that dirt road, lying on my hammock...and just drifting....kicking a few stones and humming.

...and when I'm meandering through that feeling I always wonder if I'm the only one and now I know there is you, still sharing as always and awakening senses to all there is...always reminding...never stop...

This goes full circle! An amazing piece of poetry..the wandering through many mazes of the mind...reality or not..the sensual touch of words...comfort..feeling the emotion and experience and then the finale! Excellent ending to this..completely turns around on its head!
Superbly written and haunting sweetheart

This is light, sensual, a delicate breed of words and thoughts.
The best time I think to talk is when in the bed, facing a partner and
just being vulnerable in that loving, caring manner. Very Nice:)

We do seem to spend a lot of time sitting around and doing nothing...makes those intimate moments all the more worth while.

this is really wonderful and to say that it is badly missed . . . well that's not even the half of it
