"Whispers On The Wind..."

"Whispers On The Wind..."

A Poem by Chris

"Whispers On The Wind..."

...Hi...

Such a lil word           ...Hi...
for a lil world
whirling
and whorls

of whispered bits of
meaning-less and less and          ...Hi...
then nothing at all.

...Hi...
                             ...Hi...
I heard ...you -       ...Hi...

on my side of the

  water's ...Hi... fall
and leaned into tomorrow
...Hi...
   ...Hi...

'til the colors swirled and rose

and fell then flew and became rainbows

as unicorns walked and played
  beneath and through.

...Hi...                    ...Hi...
              ...Hi...

I've lost the flowers in my eyes
as for moments shared - we passed and passed ...Hi...
mine back and forth
and the petals floated loose and fell away

one-by-one...Hi...

scattered
lost and alone ...falling  ...Hi...

one

by

every ...one

'til even my heart found
...nothing more to say.

...Hi...  ...Hi...

  ...Hi...

Free indeed, hello, hi, the beginnings of any possibility to two strangers. Make it what you will.

What a great examination of such a simple thing. And I have to say, your use of alliteration is quite intense; I love it!

Reading this was like watching the wind become alive...I heard a rainbow talk...is that possible?! The free flow of your skill is amazing..effortless...it lifts my spirit each and every time I read you.

i think you must be one of the most naturally gifted writers on this web site, the flow here is stunning, i absolutely loved that last stanza although it had such sadness laced through it. fantastic.

Hi!
This makes me think of all the people I've lost over the last year and a half. Love the easy flow you've got going on here too.

Hi! Always lifts ones' heart and eyes to see who spoke...like a little kids' poke and a run-a-way laugh...saying come catch me. Exactly the way your poem felt to me. i loved the rainows and flowers and there had to be sunshine because I felt the warm! Lovely, lovely writing which is the standard you have set.

like the replay of the word "hi" through out,
Nicely written and expressed.

Hi Chris...
Love the title. Love the whole darn poem...lol
Written so beautiful and the other word that seems to come to my mind is eloquent. Your poems always seem to move a special thought for me
Sometimes good things come in such small packages...such as just a simple HI
