The Hamburglar

The Hamburglar

A Poem by Andy Ruffett
"

I stole a burger. That's all you need to know.

"

I dedicate this poem to Alex Morris, Courtney Burns, Joanne Wong, Rebecca Gillespie, Raeleen MacArthur, Lisa Bouliane, Dan Budau, Sarah Rosebaugh, and the burger because without it this poem would have been constructed on something else.

A special thank you goes out to Rebecca Gillespie for coming up with the title of this poem.

They sit.

Will he do it?

They look.

Will he do it?

They watch.

Will he do it?

She moves.

Will he do it?

He walks.

Will he do it?

He talks,

“Sorry, I’m just taking my food.”

He moves quickly.

He sits back down.

He did it.
