Poems: SLAMMED

Poems: SLAMMED

A Poem by Andy Ruffett
"

What every writer goes through.

"

They’re rubber, they’re ham

They lack any official quality

They’re stale

They’re bland

Not a poem I’d recommend

To anyone in society

You have no style

You have no rhyme

You’ve lost all sense of time

So why are you delivering this crap to me?

There’s no structure

There’s no form

And so to this I have to warn,

To not send me your poetry

Because you are no writer

You can’t write

You lack colour

And imagery

You have no style of any kind

And you’ll never make it successfully

I'm sure some famous writers have heard this before. You describe a good part of what writers have or will experience while they choose to wield a pen. Good poem.
