Sleeping in Philosophy

Observing a student who can't seem to stay awake.

As the prof gabs,

the student takes a nap

 

Dreams become more important than class

 

The monotone voice…

makes him tired

 

His engagement has expired

Yet…

she keeps talking

 

He tries to read the text,

but…

it’s…

hard…

to…

focus

when the material bypasses your mind

 

He looks at the time and wonders

how long it will take to get by

 

He tries to concentrate…

but…
