Winds and Fair Waters

Winds and Fair Waters

A Poem by Andrew Rayne
"

Entries to myself, a writer.

"
Glory has always sought the stories of nobles.
My own,
writ in scrawls and cast out to sea.
Still I move with the motions of waves.

Driving quills and epistolary hands,
into the canvas of memories
in hopes to someday be just as remembered.

Write only to soothe conscious hearts,
for there is no writer who will not perish.

The elegance of such fluent calligraphy,
will last long after the tides cease to tremble.

Patient under the tyranny of fortune.
