Thanksgiving Blues

I made this poem on October 31. I made it for a challenge. Unfortunately I didn't win though :(.

November begins tomorrow.
In a few weeks it will be Thanksgiving.
I'm not really about Thanksgiving.
I am more of a Christmas kind of girl.
Thanksgiving for me has gotten smaller since my favorite grandma passed away a few years ago.
Oh how much I miss my grandma.
I remember the last turkey that she made.
She put bacon over the turkey, but sadly she forgot to start the oven and we had to wait even longer for the delicious turkey.
My poor sweet grandma, but it was worth the wait.
Even now while I'm writing this poem my eyes water.
Soon it will be turkey day and I might get the Thanksgiving blues.
