Deep Forest

Deep Forest

A Poem by Angelus Fortitudo

Walking in a deep forest
All alone on a moonless night
Wondering where to go
Wodering what my purpose is
And who my friends really are

Eyes resembling a deep ocean
In the depth of their emotion
Unable to be understood
Unable to speak for myself
I have no voice for no one hears me

Deep forest of anger and anger
Deep forest of my resentment
Walking in a deep forest
By day without companions

Deep forest, deep betrayal
A knife strikes me from behind
I fall, unable to stop, as I look to see my attacker
It is... a shadowed face
A nightmare I thought no longer existed

Deep forest, deep sadness
Crystal tears slide down my face
Warm blood flows freely down my back
Everything fades away slowly
Deep forest, my final resting place...

I like the over all theme of this with the usage of the deep forest line...a sense of hopelessness and yet the ending is the same...one is so lonely that the escape in the end gives way to the release of one's path and becomes one within the darkness...
