It's strange what comes out of my heart when I open my mind..

On a dark starless night,

I think about my life.

About all the things that haven't gone right,

I drown in my thoughts about a knife.

It's in my back,

It's in my heart.

It's severed the feelings I now lack,

I should've been more careful, if I was smart.

But now I'll follow you to the end,

Into the darkness if need be.

Your broken heart, I'll try to mend,

I love you, can't you see?

This may be cheesy,

This may be pathetic.

Love is meant to be cheesy, but it isn't always easy.

What better way to express than being poetic?

So I'll follow you to the end,

Nothing sounds better than being with you.

So here's my love, to you I'll send,

Not having you in my life makes me blue.

You make me smile,

You make me laugh.

You make me want to go that extra mile,

You make my heart race off.

These feelings can't be one sided,

And if they are, I deserve to know.

I promise to stay open minded,

I promise to give you time to grow.

I haven't felt this way in a long time,

But I can't turn back now.

I some day would like to call you mine,

Some day, some way, some how.
