Drowning In Love

Drowning In Love

A Poem by AngelicVoicedRiver

I'm hypnotized by the ice blue in your eyes,
Like the ice in the pool of which I lay,
The frozen water covered in pink flowers,
The things you used to say...
"I'll drown you with love"
We sit in the water,
You repeat, "I'll drown you with love,"
I comment on the passing doves,
You repeat, "I'll drown you with love,"
Your wrists touch my skin,
Your hands touch my shoulders,
Your fingers find my neck,
You pushed my head into the water, lifeless,
The dove lands on my arm,
The bird of peace,
My body turns blue, like ice,
Like the color of your eyes...
