A day when I was missing my boyfriend :)

When I close my eyes

It’s only you that I see

Can’t rid you from my mind

Cause that’s where you’re meant to be

Yet I long for you here

To be by my side

To kiss me asleep

To hold me when I cry

I want to feel your touch

Till the depths of my heart

I want to hold you close

And never tear apart

I want to kiss your lips

Till mine are bruised

I want to hold your hand

Till our souls are fused

And When I open my eyes

I want to see you here

To rip you from my dreams

And have you near

When we are apart

My heart for you yearns

When we are together

My soul for you burns

But until that time comes

In my thoughts you will stay

I will close my eyes

And dream away

hehe yea this one wouldn't let me sleep I had to get up and write it as soon as it came to mind. Unfortunately I have this problem where I love my poems to rhyme I'm trying to get out of it so I can explore different variations, but I always loved a bit of rhythm to a poem

I disagree I love rhyme and meter and feel it is the only tryue form of poetry .I think you should look toward developing it

A beautiful poem of rhyme and meter. I love it when you can't sleep until you get it out of your head and on to paper. Seems like magic. It's fun to explore but for me the structure of rhyme and meter are more comfortable.

Clayton thank you :) I love it too its when the best poems are formed. Like I said b4 I love rhyme too a poem seems incomplete without it, but at the same time I want to develop other forms of poetry. So I have a sortof internal conflict lol
