A sad poem about love and the loss of love

I close my eyes,
Cause its only then
That I can feel again.

I try night after night,
Not to let them see me cry.
Knowing that there in no
Means to heal me,
Even if they try.

The past is over,
My heart has been betrayed.
Now only the truth can lay
Upon the ground in silence.

I have always,
Believed without
a doubt in you.
You're always
in my dreams.

It's the moments
I get what I need.
The only time I feel free.
And I know it shall last,
For all eternity, for all eternity.

It reminds me when I was happy.
And reminds me what made me sad.
It also reminds me never to get close.

As old as I am I still look to the stars.
To set me free of all my fears.
Cause I know my end,
Was your new beginning.

You used me to help you,
Till I wasn't needed anymore.
Guess I was just a bore.

You told me you had been hurt.
But you destroyed me
more then she had you.

That's why I close my eyes.
And feel the tears flow.
As I drift away to my eternity,
My dream of you.
