For You

For You

A Poem by Anima Inspired

...and for you I have created
a sanctuary in the grasses
that grow at the edge of the ocean
and wave gently in its caressing breeze.

This shall be your home, hidden
from the prying eyes of humanity,
protected from the wicked hands
of doubt and consequence.

I shall visit you each morning,
as the sun rises and the earth sings,
I shall come to your door
and whisper your name

That's my kind of sanctuary. You dream amazing dreams. The last stanza is the best that I've ever read in poetry, and I say that in earnest.
The imagery is fantastic, it conveys something so peaceful and so beautiful that it makes the spirit cry out and want to forsake the gaudy, false world that it lives in and return to the natural splendor of this little sanctuary that you have created merely from words and inspiration.

there is nothing nicer than fearing for your love,and you building him home away from prying eyes of humanity ,protecting him from wicked hands and souls,fearing for his safety ,for he is your real love oh i wish i could feel such love ,this is so extreme and indeed so dreamy and just wonderful,loved all words as usual

Ahhhh...

Sanctuary; a created sanctuary, gives one the feeling of great love and care as it pertains to the dynamic of interpersonal relationships. One would be lucky indeed to benefit from a stewardship such as the subject displays in this piece.
Bright and uplifting poetics.

I get the impression that what is being protected is some sort of plant. Perhaps a beautiful flower the narrator does not want to see destroyed. Of course that could be metaphorical for some aspect of the narrator they are wanting to keep from getting damaged by the harshness of the real world.

the feeling you've created here reminds of one i wrote on my profile called Circles of Life... For You is like experiencing Wisdom interacting with innocence... read mine and you'll understand why i make that connection lol :D again, really nice imagery. love how you use nature as your canvas and your emotions are a vast palette of hues :D nicely done :D

Faerie Blessings!

Wow. This was a great piece. Hauntingly beautiful. It almost made me think of someone's spirit stirring in the wind protecting those it loves, always coming there in the time of need. I'm not sure why that image came to mind but I did so love this.

This is fabulous. Yes, that may sound overstated, but I absolutely love it. It has a peaceful cadence that fits perfectly with what the poems is conveying. I especially like these lines:

protected from the wicked hands
of doubt and consequence.

That would be so great if someone could protect you from doubt and consequence. Eh, but I'm a dreamer. Great poem!

"the wicked hands of doubt and consequence" is a very intriguing concept. I have long believed that doubt is the ultimate feeling, not the "best" - but rather simply, the ultimate. Doubt can corrupt anything, I do not care how strong one is in their conviction. Once doubt takes healthy root (or unhealthy as the case may be), it will eat away like a parasite from within. The idea of sanctuary protecting from doubt, is simply the best definition of sanctuary I have seen.
