Walk with a "FRIEND"

Conversation with loneliness.....

We walked along a lit path

One deary cloudless night like no other

He walked with me silently

Like a long lost friend 

I talked a lot and he just nodded a lot

I thought a lot and he echoed my thought

Our pace was slow 

The moon hung low

And we walked for miles at a stretch

I asked him as we took rest on a bench

"Tell me my old friend where does this road go,where does it lead to"

He replied, his voice a hoarse whisper coming from depths unknown.

"It leads to you, my friend ,the road leads to you"

And I know when I grow old and I'm no more beautiful and young

When the song of my glory has been done and sung

When I sit on this bench again shunned by the world

I still find him sitting here my old friend saying

"Let's walk on the same road where you walked alone"
