Colors Begin To Fade

Colors Begin To Fade

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire
"

*** song ***

"

the sky has lost it's color
the sun has turned to gray
at least that's how it feels to me
whenever you're away

i crawl up in the corner
as i watch the minutes pass
each one brings me closer
to the time you're coming back

you wrapped your arms around me,
your body pressing mine.
at that moment of perfection,
I knew we were meant to be
and I never want to let you go

It brings out the worst in me
when you're not around.
I miss the sound of your voice,
the silence seems so loud.

It's so weird.
I miss you,
but it's so much more than that.
I miss the way my heart just stops
at the sight of you and your smile,
but the sad part is,
it's not just your smile that I'm missing,

[hmmmmhmmmm]

it's mine too.
The one that's only there when yours is

I don't know the meaning of feeling
I'm not even sure who I am
Suddenly the fire is so cold
And the ice is burning my hands

Nothing's making sense to me
Nothing's how it used to be

the sky has lost it's color
the sun has turned to gray
at least that's how it feels to me
whenever you're away

i crawl up in the corner
as i watch the minutes pass
each one brings me closer
to the time you're coming back

[oooh]

It brings out the worst in me
when you're not around.
I miss the sound of your voice,
the silence seems so loud.

i crawl up in the corner
as i watch the minutes pass
each one brings me closer
to the time you're coming back
