Tell Me How Long

Tell Me How Long

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire

::Chorus::
How long are these tears going to part from this face?
How long is the pain going to overwhelm this place?
How long am I going to have to be here?
Sitting in my room.
Covered in blood and pain and fear.
::Chorus::

Why won't they let me see this world?
Why couldn't they just listen?
In their eyes,
Evil and darkness glisten.

How LONG,
Are these tears going to part from this empty face?
How LONG,
Is the pain going to overwhelm this place?

Breaking hearts
Sorrowful souls
Calling out to me,
Pleaing for their safety.

Locked up in this room,
Nothing else around.
Hiding in this room,
Non-existing sound.

(Chorus)

Misery,
Just set me free.
Agony,
Get me out of here!

How LONG,
Are these tears going to part from this empty face?
How LONG,
Is the pain going to overwhelm this place?

Just tell me how long.
Whatever it takes.
Just tell me how long.
No more
Mistakes.
