Catch and Release

Catch and Release

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire
"

[[ song ]]

"

You were her cure

And she was your disease

she was killing you

while you were saving her...

Breathing in your toxic air,

It's SO completely Wonderful..

And how she hoped he missed her,

Cause GOD she missed how he would kiss her..

but

Love doesn't walk away...

People do.

Love doesn't say goodbye....

People do.

She doesn't want to come back,

she says "you don't believe in me"

She was dieing for that place inside your heart,

But it's crowded where she wanted to be...

It's just a another song on the radio,

Just a another picture in her mind...

So why can't she just let it out,

why can't she just scream and cry and shout..

It's because she's finally found reality,

and she's not about to let him take it from her a second time...

Finally!

She has the power, she has the might,

to move on,

to make things right.

because

Love doesn't walk away...

People do.

Love doesn't say goodbye...

People do.

Breathing in your toxic air,

It's SO completely Wonderful..

She was killing you

while you were saving her...

Brilliant piece. I love the idea of love always remaining, even after they have walked away.

I think this is easily one of your best pieces, it has untamed emotion and heart. Really, really loved it. Hats off!

Wow very compelling work... I love this ... it shows just how love can be a tricky thing when one is in love and the other isn't...

She was killing you
while you were saving her...

those lines seem so simple yet really make such a powerful statement. Dan this whole piece is really excellant work.
