A Poem by Anon1020

A thousand tiny knives ricocheted off my body, leaving an innumerable amount of tiny cuts
then like acid, the rain comes
that's how it would feel
like that of the Greek tragedy of Julius Caesar
like that of the horrific event of the Titanic
that's how it would feel
like being in a car crash but I am the only one who had survived
that's how it would feel
like ten thousand nails on a chalkboard screaming inside my head
the sound of thousands of quarters trickling down to the floor droning on for hours
that's how it would sound
like everything to live for was minute
that's how it would feel
that's how it would feel if you walked away

The journey spoken to is fine with grace of hand in guiding the quill passionately with conviction of spirit. Truly meaningful share that is rich in expression, flow of movement, applying the right emotions to bring the view with artistry in penning from the heart. A great read and share indeed... The imagery is staggering by the use of dramatic / extreme " visuals" : "A thousand tiny knives ricocheted off my body.. / ..horrific event of the Titanic.. / being in a car crash .. / ten thousand nails on a chalkboard screaming inside my head... / sound of thousands of quarters trickling down to the floor..." - A deep piece of poetry, poignant at time, yet rather beautiful in its own poetic sense...
