Waiting For Destiny

Waiting For Destiny

A Poem by Joseph Mulpeter

I'm waiting for him, waiting for destiny to come forth
as the patience of my unbalanced heart, begins to implode
where is he? where on earth could he be?
could he still be out there, looking for me?

I ask the universe for signs, and the stars to guide his way
for the darkness to disappear, to shed light upon today
because when the darkness has gone
and the light begins to appear
i will give him my heart, and forever i will be near

as he follows the path, and navigates his way
i blow a kiss to the stars, for their guidance today

when it's all said and done, and the light begins to fade
i count my lucky stars, for his safe return once again

I like how the line "I blow a kiss to the stars"! I'm in love with stars and astronomy.
