She will destroy everything

She will destroy everything

A Poem by CA Anurag Sharma
"

Read it full before drawing any conclusions

"

She always feels offended, she always feels hurt,

She gets angry a lot,

She always wants to pay back,

I often tell her to keep quiet,

But she is full of hatred all the time,

She just doesn't go along with the love,

Its very difficult to satisfy her,

She resides in everyone's mind and heart,

For some it’s the only reason to live,

But for shameless minds she doesn't exist,

She is a one big hindrance to success,

Whenever it comes, it creates a mess,

Calm mind which is focused only on goal,

By this only it can be controlled,

It can also be controlled with selfless love,

Or, a dedicated mind which wants to learn,

She has destroyed many lives,

She is one of the main reasons for all the quarrels,

She is known as an ego,

Which is very difficult to let go,

Destroy this deadly vice,

Before she destroys everything you have,

So be calm and spread love,

Forget and forgive those who hurt you,

Because forgiveness is its best cure.

resentment, anger, hate...all of them are really a burden to carry around with us...forgiveness lightens that load.
this is a really powerful statement...only suggestion is to check the first few lines...so verbs match subjects...
but yes, this reminds me of Langston Hughes' poem "Cross"

"if ever i cursed...i take it back" in reference to his mother and father...
crossing that line to forgiveness is so important.

i have a deep appreciation for the ambiguity with which you write, there is some room for individual interpretation as i try not to draw conclusions...
... your visuals are lovely & talk of ego & destruction lead me to think of Kali & her consort, Shiva

really enjoyed reading this piece, thank you for sharing

Personifying the Ego... well reasoned and done.

I agree with Jacob regarding tense checking - throughout... and where you define "Ego", is the "know" - known and is the first of the two "an" meant to be an "as"?
