He saw the World
glowing and shining
golden charms
and silver dreams
falling upon daily

He was dynamically static
in the world
In a place where
he saw everything
But not him

He admired the golden
in hopes to touch the silver
But he was seen by none

World that stood on a burning lamp
But he was standing
Under the flame
In the dark

Finding oneself is hard. You need a lot of strength to fall and stand up again to go on that journey. But yes coming out of dark lies and facing the light is the first and the hardest step.

I love the oxymoron, "dynamically static"!
He sees everything but not himself...
I wonder how much more he would see standing under the flame...and would what he saw singe his heart?

Under the flame, it's usually dim, unburnt soot particals, you don't even get your shadow, so he was basically just attempting things trying to find his existence and trying to fit in the world. He won't immediately recognise his own self and will get lost if he somehow enters the light. It will be a big difference for him. Like it will take him a while to notice and believe that the he is the one that is shining.

He was living his life in shadow even though he saw the world glowing. Sadly grief or depression can have that effect on a person, making them feel isolated. Your stanzas are nicely penned Anushka.
