Eve's Spring Pain

Eve's Spring Pain

A Poem by J.L. Davenport
"

Female conscious spoken from natures tree

"
I awaken and sing Eves spring this glorious morning
A delight of beauty is reborn from cold confines
Heavens soft veil of rain
The suns amber stain, refreshing thy beauty again
I awaken and sing Eves spring as my petals bloom of shades that show how delighted and curious I can be
I awaken and sing Eves spring even in the twilight hour
For underneath the stars sultry glare I shine
The mouths of Earth do not criticize me
It desires me
Caresses me
Nourishes me
It loves and perfects me again
I awaken and sing Eves spring even as the winds scream blemish after blemish against my beauty
The rain is cold and hard
The suns amber stain is pale and gloomy sunken back by the gray of the clouds
Heavens soft veil has passed me and hell is eager to chastise thee
I still sing Eves spring
I sing Eves spring in my last moments
When the stars glare sparkles on another
The suns stain is far away
Even the Earth does not caress my withered petals
My beauty is fading, now a soul to compose alone
In the remnants of Eves spring
I sing Eves spring pain in quiet confinements once again
Til my beauty is renewed and I am again used and pursued

The ending of this was a bit of a twist to the theme, that changed my perspective on the entire piece. Nicely done.
"The mouths of Earth do not criticize me"....
I love that line.
