Pleasant Meanderings

Pleasant Meanderings

A Poem by April Child
"

2 friends have 2 relationships, a real life one and an online one...

"

We sit across the table

occasionally glancing

eyes meet

shy smile

brush of feet

Separated by worlds

connected

words flow

from glowing screens

fantasies grow

Pleasant meanderings

evolving

tension building

craving

bodies alight with expectation

nurturing exquisite tingling sensation

the merest touch

electric

exudes lightning from fingertips

No words spoken

just a knowing glance

eyes down

continue the dance

Who would know

beneath our serenity

such tempest raging

this churning sea

we drown in

forbidden desire

Preferring to maintain

protective of the delicate boundary

friends refrain

for now

Politely we say goodnight

log off, shut down

navigate the corridor

to our separate rooms

lights out

minds engaged

pleasant meanderings end the day

good perception and in a sot of erotic way (well maybe thats how i think anyway) of describing the relationships of online buddies who may find themselves intrigued by their online counterpart.
I think we have all been here before once or twice, finding ourselves intrigued by someone in reality we've never met, but isn't the online world to some extent our reality when indulged in it?? hmmm.... very good one April...

That pretty much says everything doesn't it! Excellent piece of reality show...very light and delicately described. Very nice indeed.

this is stealthily observed as if you were watching both parties at their dance simultaneously. it captures the nature of human beings and the way these keyboards and screens allow them to touch and move each other, without quite.... liked 'lightening from fingertips' the best and note the words 'for now'. also like subdued rhyme of maintain/refrain...seems natural and unforced rhyme. amazing, just noticed the other pairings also... meet/feet flow/grow dance/glance... i think that means the rhyme is light and does not smack you in the face. I just went back to check out the lines to see if there was a pattern that I'd missed! no, phew! i shall look over my shoulder when i next log on and smile at the screen, too.

Wow, that was beautiful. I have found this mystical cyber world to be so seductive and captivating, and you capture it, perfectly.
In this world, we love from the inside out. Exact opposite from what we call the "real world."
Many people say this world is not real. They need to read your piece. Brilliant. Rain
