I'm Fine

I'm Fine

A Poem by AprilRivers12

I want to forget the first time you told me you loved me.

I want to forget the enchanting smell of your skin.

I want to forget the way your smile could make me lose my mind.

I want to forget how you made me feel like I was the only one.

I want to forget the way you held me tight against you when we danced.

I want to forget how, when you kissed me, I couldn’t see anyone else.

I want to forget the times we’d spend talking about our future together.

I want to forget how natural it felt for me to be around you.

But I’ll never forget when you changed.

I’ll never forget the way you lied to me.

I’ll never forget the way you told me I didn’t make you happy.

I’ll never forget when I wasn’t the only one anymore.

I’ll never forget the things you put me through.

I’ll never forget when you told me you didn’t love me anymore.

I’ll never forget when you said I was no longer in your future.

And I’ll never forget how I was suddenly okay with that.

Ciao,

99% of our loves will fail. Endure it. It's well worth it, I daresay.

Arrivederci!
