The Jinx Within..

The Jinx Within..

A Poem by Arabdha

                             A heap of unwritten thoughts...
                      a pile of unsaid words...
                      the noise of commotion..
and the silence of what is past..

the sweet taste of momentary peace...
                          the bitter one of loneliness...
                      all mingle together..
                          yet can't perturb the silence..

                          words longing to be spoken..
                          thoughts waiting for action..
                          hang on to eternal drudgery..
for the soul disagrees to pay attention..

                       peace,agony,silence and melancholy..
                       life's myriad emotions joining hands..
                       wanting to make a difference..
still can't deter the soul that exults
                       in the waves of indifference..

                       ignorant to their motives...
                       blissfully satisfied and unaware ..
                       of the ocean of turbulence
it has chosen to make its abode..

the future, the past and the present..
are all but a matter of the moment..
                     still it refuses to budge..
elated by its state of detachment..
                    turmoiled by the war within...

hoping the waters would be kind and merciful..
praying to be unharmed by the waging war                                     within..
wanting to be left in peace...
it lives on in its sweet delirium..

Wow. You brought forth magic and am so loving it! This made me think of so many things as I read each verse. I especially loved the last lines..

hoping the waters would be kind and merciful..
praying to be unharmed by the waging war within..
wanting to be left in peace...
it lives on in its sweet delirium..

Now how perfect is this I ask you?

Another wow!

The struggles within can always overwhelm us and sometimes we just push them away so we don't have to feel at all. That is what this poem reminds me of.

Awesome .... specially the last two stanzas . The only thing I want to point is what I think is a typographical error in the penultimate line :: wanting to be let in peace... :: which I think should be :: wanting to be left in peace ::
Great job , loved reading this .Somehow I can relate my mental state of the immediate past , with this poem .

I agree with Robin, and I specially loved that last verse, "It lives on in its sweet delirium", that was a good ending. Great writing.
