Nevermind

Nevermind

A Poem by Aren
"

I was feeling a bit angsty.

"
Now every single lie begins to stack.
Just because I meant it, doesn’t mean I can’t take it back.

Don’t you dare think that I have forgotten
that you have left me here, behind,
and I did have something to tell you-
You don’t care though, so never mind.

Your scherzando lover is getting quite bored.
How could you assume it’s only you that I adore?

I move my lips like a brush.
Paint lipstick all over his canvas face,
and in the darkest of secrets
I slide my hands all over her toxic waist.

I refuse to rage, if I must rage alone.
Our love a delicate china, I pick up a jagged stone.

I have gotten too damn bitter
to even bid to you, goodbye
And I had something  I had to tell you,
but oh well, never you mind.

These are some pretty powerful words Aren. Sometimes silence can give a bigger punch than words could. Beautiful write, and kudos!

I can definitely empathize with this poem. It all gets too much to bear and all the joy in life becomes sucked out and replaced with empty apathy.

Beautifully done. Elegantly said. Sometimes not saying something can be harder thansaying it, and have as much impact.
