Storm Inside

Everyone battles one...

Tears will flow,
and rain drops fall.
The night takes over
and the raven's call.

Thunder crashes
and the storm begins.
Is it reality?
Or is it within?

Are you really gone?
Were you ever really here?
Will I be able to move on?
Or will I always live in fear?

The darkness now owns my heart.
I'll hide out here,
until I restart.

It will happen in due time,
but for now:
I'll live with the storm inside.

There is a strong despondency that your words resonate with, Ashley. It grips the reader by the throat and forces the reader to experience what you have went through, without releasing the reader until the reader has fully appreciated the extenuating effects such poems have on your despondency

Wow what an emotion going on in here ashley!
The stomr rages inside me but yet I keep looking for light in myself, I see a faint light deep in my mind which I follow all day and night, do I get tired? No, because I know that I will be happy at the end of this quest, and that's what matters.
