A Poem by Ariel Olivia
"

Betrayal.

"
Love, it is not the feeling you get when you fall
It's the feeling after the fall
After the wounds are fresh and the salty sweat seeps in
It does take you on an adrenaline rush
Thoughts of infection and betrayal
The wounds they do not speak
Only you can speak of the thoughtless encounter with the undead
The heartless, existence of another soul...
Covered, stained, driven over the edge
The edge of what?
It's a painting, a painting of perfection
With tunnel vision of a life
A life that you can already taste
& A feeling you can't forget
Farewell, good bye and in his eyes...
You can see the vengeful flash
The marker that stood
The marker you bared
It's the last thing you seen
The last thing you heard
A silenced scream underneath a hollow junction
Free me at once, is your plea
And nothing but a memory can haunt you forever
In an outcry for hope, it's still not what it could mean
But it is the solid truth of what it has meant
The past, it still echo's...
Fatalities, lies and misfortune
But overcoming everything on the inside...
That is truly just the beginning, to a new life.
