Bluebeard

Bluebeard

A Poem by Ariel Olivia
"

Well, "Bluebeard" the movie 1944, starring John Carradine. I fell in love with the whole thing. Not to mention, "La Barbe bleue" a French literary folktale written by Charles Perrault.

"
Oh Bluebeard, why did you kill?
Kill all those pretty little girls...
I assure you, your job was done
if that was your intention son
to make the world less pretty
if so, Mr. Bluebeard...
you have indeed, won
I implore of you...
leave from this place
& never return...
unfettered by your inner monster
redeemed of your haunting acts
I'd like to think I'll never see you again
But this all would have to be...
so very untrue in fact
Your infamous way of being a lookist
tells me you'll be here forever
haunting the same old spots
observing the physically ill
hunting the beautiful faces
...all walking about the streets
& like you always have...
You'll go after only the weak.
