Sunny and Chilly

I wrote this when where I live it was raining for a week or so and when we finally get some sun it was cold. Still, it was a beautiful day and I didn't want to stay indoors:)

        

The door behind me closes,

My, oh my, it’s chilly!

But the sun is out and burning;

Oh how the day is grand.

 I walk with ear buds in place,

I listen to the song at best,

It gets me to dance along the way,

But as I do,

 The wind blows through my hair.

I feel my face begin to freeze,

But nothing stops me to enjoy

The rain free day!

Up my hood goes you see,

My, oh my, it’s chilly!

I keep my hands inside my pockets,

To take them out I do not dare,

While the wind performs its blare,

Like the rumbles of a rocket,

It takes my hood right off,

So I go and put it back it on.

My nose runs an unhealthy stream,

My, oh my, it’s chilly!

Beams of the sun warm my back,

How I wish,

 It would warm more than just that,

But I continue to walk,

 My feet are still swinging,

While the wind is still blowing.

A week has passed with no sun and much rain,

Today is the first; we’ve finally got the suns ray,

A slight freeze we may feel,

But there is no way I’ll be still,

I walk with nothing,

But joy, as my music plays on this sunny, chilly day.
