Soup

A Poem by Touché Armada
"

Soup

"

The shifting twilight walks over the settling walls
its weighty dampened cloak aiding boot stomp drawls
random drum thumps silencing
into sleepy thoughts sinking into tired hands and weak arms
all burning beneath a warm ceiling, crackling fire.

Pattering lullaby overhead, chicken soup like, for bed.

Chicken soup always seems to cure ailments. Great dinner choice as the day fades into the colors of night. Your mention of fire is also a nice touch as well.

This piece makes me feel cozy and warm and peaceful. Its like a warm bed on a winter night, or a soft pillow in a stone room.

the warmth of your soul food relaxes brain cells searching for the right word.
I need not lament a society headed for destruction when I can take your
soup with me into my dreams...I hope to live another day and night to do
the same.
