A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Some times we return

"
Ilha da Queimada Grande
The land of crawlers
With sharp fangs to watch
Walking through the path brave
With opened eyes anxious
Golden lancerhead are the friends
Brave enough to kiss it's head
Opens path leading to unknown destiny
Keeping body on land harmless
Emotionless, with no feelings
Until it transforms into dust
Carried by wind from Atlantic
To the shore once came.

In this poem a wonderful metaphor. The first line island of the great burn starts it off. Is this our home? Earth place of our terrestrial birth, fraught with dangers that we must bravely confront and if done may lead to our destiny dust that will return to its place of origin. Lovely my friend

Thank you friend 😊
A very lovely portrayal of of an island and who inhabits it and who will leave and return to i and what if anything changes...these creatures on the island sound a bit scary...yet I suppose it is their home....the wind carries them and brings them home.... thank you for sharing

Your are welcome! 👍😊
And if we return, do things just look different to us, or are they really that changed?
I wonder.
