The Illusion of You Giving a F**k

The Illusion of You Giving a F**k

A Poem by Ashtaroth

Maybe if you say the magic word

It'll all just go away

You probably think I haven't heard

The privately loud things you say

“Yes, of course, if you want to, Name!”

(“I have a daughter, she's right over there.”)

Do you people think this is some kind of game?

(“I know she heard us, I can tell by the glare!”)

You say, “It just takes time to adjust.”

So tell me, how long will be enough?

I should've known better than to give you my trust

It seems all you ever do is bluff

So I'm giving up- you can say what you want

I just want us to co-exist

My gender, I promise not to flaunt

If you promise to stop this s**t.
