lost stolen gone

A Poem by Itumeleng Molokomme

I can only imagine
Masked faces, darkened by death
Eyes of fire and voices stone cold
protrusions pulling to engulf innocent souls
Prey, pray!
My mind shrivels as I picture the blackened path
Walking blind into a war
Forced to warm the bloody pools of strange men
Oh and I have no name
My identity stripped
Which way is home?
I cannot begin to imagine the pain my family is in
Weakened by the long journey to hell
I think of my mother who battles to sleep
Wrestling with her thoughts, worry
The world now looks for me
Optical eyes on surveillance
I can only hope.

A commentary written by someone who knows and feels this personally. I like the line "Prey, pray!" A lot going on in so few words. I pray with you.
