Afraid of the dark

Afraid of the dark

A Poem by Asiya
"

Old poem I've found digging

"
Cauchemar éveillé

My mind is made of steps
On a spiral steel stair
As I gaze in the depths
As if made of air

Yet I hear, when I press my ears
Closer, louder, grinding my gears
Such longing
My mind sure's pacing

And

If blackouts could strike
They say fear as love is fall-like
Yet this bed keeps turning and turning around
How I love to drown
Drawn to you only
That whispers to me, softly

Il suffirait que je te croque
Pour une toile à blanc-estoc
Des feuilles de papier
Sans arbre à dénuder
Pourtant vient l'hiver noir
Et nos matins s'éveillent au soir
