Mine

Mine

A Poem by Asiya
"

Because Saga Junichi's Memory Of A Yakuza touched me deeply

"
As cloistered as a mine
All breath as one
To the dynamite chime
Fathers first bemoan

Nights so short it's just black
The Lord's mansion is burning high
Of centuries, and glories
A solitaire remains
At my lady's neck

So pure, so rare
A lifetimes struggle
Not yours, but mine

Yet here I flee
With a pendant as mercy

My lady died as a witch would
She's been hunted down
By legions of lonely men
That should have died yesterday

Yet here I flee
With a rock, my Lady

I'd build a castle
Of unknown sins
I'd build it so tall
You'd see us all, ants at your feet
How great could you be
If you'd seen this army
If you felt it yours
More than you did this puny rock
That I broke free, for you only
