Fallen Vows

Fallen Vows

A Poem by Astraeaa

I don't want to break a promise
I don't want flowers to falter without them in your hands
I don't want to feel the seafoam on my feet without them touching yours first
I don't wanna be confined to watch you from afar
Let alone you, being my song unsung
For a little while-that seems forever
I vowed to the sounding waves
That I don't want years to come pass by without u
But I guess I already did.

Time runs by quickly and if you don’t catch the moment you’re looking for, then you’ve missed it. This is the kind of scene whereby one wants something so badly, but seems not to be able to grasp it in time….and that is the love for someone….a little too late….well done.

Honest and strong words and thoughts shared dear Astraeaa.
"I don't want to break a promise
I don't want flowers to falter without them in your hands
I don't want to feel the seafoam on my feet without them touching yours first"
I loved the above lines. Promises made, promises broken. We will remember. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
