Half of me / Yellow cab of memories

Half of me / Yellow cab of memories

A Poem by Atosa

Empty handed I stand

On the cold cobbled street

Cruel drops burning my skin

Memories of a dark salty sea

Desperately holding on

To the image of your face

Knowing that half of me

Is in the cab driving away

One day you’ll take your last breath

Without me by your side

And I will never know

The answer to all my whys

But I guess that I am living proof

Of the life that you once had

I absolutely love
how short this poem is, yet it's entirely
beautiful, a sense of pain, lose and having to
let go of someone of you love.

great write;
