Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by Betsy

This girl, she dreams of tomorrow,
Because she doubts anyone knows.
How she cries herself to sleep.
How she watches herself bleed.
How she laughs at the pain.
How she cries hearing his name.
Because people only know,
The person she shows.
She shows them the smile,
That makes her look like a child.
Her laugh is a melody,
But listen and it's empty.
Because inside,
She has no pride.
Even though she's pretty and mature,
She's unbelievably insecure.

He's the quiet one,
But inside he wants fun.
Only he has no friends,
And he wants his life to end.
He lives alone,
Because his parents aren't home.
It wouldn't be hard for him to die,
Because he's scared and he cries.
When his tears are done,
He waits for the sun,
Because the he can smile.
Pretend to be happy for awhile.
