In every painting 

In every story 

The artist must stay true 

To the art 

To the method 

The art must be true 

To its title 

To its design 

And to its meaning 

The method must be solid 

In the brain, 

it must be well thought-of 

Pre-planed and constructed 

Full of heart in it 

That's the method 

The artist must be true 

The truth must be in the art 

The method must be well thought and solid 

That's the true art
