Poem about loss

Alone my thoughts are wild
not sure where to settle
No one understanding
the pain coursing through me

Not sure what to do next
I sit here in contemplation
Wishing things could be a different way
Some other outcome amidst a tragedy

What do i do
but stand silently
Poeple stopping by with the same words
going through my mind

I wish it would stop
I dont want to hear them
The voices they only continue
behind me

Yet blame lies with noone
they are just saying what they think is right
None of us wanted this
every word just pierces

Tears wont fall
no matter how much i try
i cant bring them back
time will only bring them farther away

Though they will always be here
in my heart
never will i forget
the days long gone
