That Which I Love

That Which I Love

A Poem by Aya Blue

That which I love destroys me.

I hollow myself out and give all I have.

My weak backbone that can barely hold me up; I give its strength to

that which I love.

I dig down in me, searching for any life that's left.

My love needs it more than I.

How do I continue with this,

Giving up all my strength and my life?

That which I love needs it.

I have and I will give all of me, especially when I am weak and when

my own backbone gives way to these storms.

That which I love needs me to be strong, so I can give them my strength;

 Needs me to be joyful, so I can give them my joy;

Needs me to be alive, so I can give them my life.

Even when I am hanging by a thread, I am still alive and I still have life to give to

that which I love.

I will give all that I have until it kills me.

That which I love destroys me.

Interesting lines here.. I agree though.. Love makes us weak somehow.. I enjoyed reading this! Nicely penned emotions☺

I love writing short stories, but I have, unfortunately, never been able to finish one. Most all of my stories are horror or romance based, and I guess I'm here to get help and guidance on the things .. more..
