The Doors of Good and Evil

The Doors of Good and Evil

A Poem by B-poet

Within each of us

Is a corridor leading to two doors

Our minds are a gateway for

The doors of good and evil

Freewill governs the choice

To unlock which experience

Will influence our deeds and judgments

That will dictate the destiny of our souls

Pertaining to the purpose of our individual lives

As a whole

Christ lies behind the first door to the right

Satan lies behind the second door to the left

The rest of the seven deadly sins are keys

To unlock the beast

Who will gladly lead you into eternal fire

While you’re having a festive earthly good time

Blindly adhering to a farce

Governed by a narcissist type of freewill

By sinning and conspiring against God’s will

For your life

Redemption for eternity lies in our hands

A holy spiritual yearning is related

To the notion of merely asking

Christ

We want to be saved from impending damnation

That‘s imminent and will consume

Every lost soul

Who was blind to process of vindication

From the get-go

As the hour glass for humanity

Is no longer full of the sands of time

Which door will redefine the essence of your afterlife

The choice is yours

Is it the good enterprise

Or the evil enterprise that enticed you with lies

To help you venture into the dark door of oblivion

Where no one will hear your cries of suffering forever

Within that dominion

Fine words and all, well written and undoubtedly well-meant.. but rather like a sermon shouted than philosophical gentleness. Sometimes by speaking quietly, more lean forward to hear?

Well put format and phrasing.. but though I understand the content, would prefer more subtlety.

Another interesting piece covering so many angles. The choice of words for some topics is quite enlightening
"Blindly adhering to a farce
Governed by a narcissist type of freewill"
The overall feel to me is that life is dirty or something to be looked at as inherently evil, rather than this wondrous gift from God. So much focus on the negatives, rather than embracing life's joys, blessings. Almost gives me the mental image of a Southern Baptist hell fire and damnation sermon.

Well written with a deep message.
